A
magic potion!
"Royal Jelly" is the term used for the unique natural
product which alone is responsible for the metamorphosis of
a bee larvae into a queen bee. However, Royal Jelly can do more
that just this: in human beings it has a positive effect on
the adrenal glands, possesses germicidal and antibiotic properties,
activates cellular respiration, increases the metabolism of
iron and the level of haemoglobin and normalises the plasma
proteins (e.g., for patients suffering from arteriosclerosis).
It also helps disperse viruses such as the A and B types of
¡¥flu virus.

An
Apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Amazing what apples can do: the amino acids stimulate circulation
and help create a healthy appetite. An apple eaten slowly first
thing in the morning on an empty stomach will help stimulate
both body fluids and the mind. Eaten in the evening, the fruit
has a soothing effect and makes you sleepy.
Things
you already knew of course - There is nothing better for your
figure than exercise in water. Swimming maintains physical and
mental health, strengthens all the muscles, improves the general
level of fitness and is a great calorie-killer. But don¡¦t stretch
your head up out of the water - this could damage your spine.
A
short massage after showering helps keep the skin smooth. Dry
off using a rough towel and with light but firm pressure draw
it backwards and forwards working from the chin down to the
stomach and then to the legs; and at the back, from the neck
to the bottom and down to the calves.
Well-tended
feet are a must in the ball season: Relax your feet in a warm
footbath for half an hour. Cream subsequently with an oily cream
(e.g. Dr. Nobis Propolis balsam) and then put on thick socks.
This will help you to avoid dry and therefore cracked skin.
Callous on your heels or the balls of your feet should be removed
very carefully with a wet pumice stone once or twice a week.
The
erotic attraction of shiny hair:
Use a mild shampoo when washing your hair. Don't pull at your
hair whilst washing it as wet hair is particularly sensitive!
One
wash is sufficient! Press dry with a towel when finished
- don't rub!
What
to do if your face is too "broad" Apply a light-coloured
powder in the centre and use a darker shade to shadow the sides.
Rouge should be applied to broad faces diagonally to the cheeks
in an upward direction; for long faces it should be applied
more in a horizontal line. As far as the finer details are concerned
the things to be aware of are: light colours extend optically,
accentuate and make things appear larger. Dark colours make
things appear more slender and smaller.
When
autumn comes, it¡¦s not just our bodies that need an extra portion
of energy! Rub away the sins of summer and treat your skin to
a regeneration cure. It is necessary to take the appropriate
care measures so that skin is forearmed to deal effectively
with subjection to rain and fog, dry central heating and stuffy
air. Remove scaly skin with a dry flannel before showering,
or massage yourself with a sisal glove. Apply a soothing body-care
emulsion after your bath or shower.
Green
tea reduces hunger pangs and increases the metabolism. Due to
its high levels of caffeine, green tea acts as a stimulant (like
coffee) and should be drunk in moderation by persons who react
sensitively to it.
Don't
give stress any chances! Protein, potassium, calcium and magnesium
all have a soothingly action when you are feeling stressed;
potassium supports the muscle activity in our bodies, whilst
calcium relaxes the body and invigorates and refreshes the skin,
strengthening nails, bones and teeth. Magnesium has a positive
effect on our heart muscles, reduces night cramps and regulates
the function of the intestinal muscle. Proteins fortify both
body and mind. Why not try covering your daily intake level
with a snack of tuna?!
By the
way: too much chocolate, soft drinks and sugar are an added
burden on the pancreas and the entire metabolism - undiluted
stress for your body.
Increase
your sense of well being with cider vinegar! 2 tsp. cider vinegar
and 1 tsp. honey mixed with 1/4 litre water will produce an
easily digestible, refreshing drink to boost your circulation.
